Privacy Policy

We are very delighted that you have shown interest in our joint venture. Data protection is of a particularly high priority for the management of us. The use of the Internet pages of us is possible without any indication of personal data; however, if a data subject wants to use special enterprise services via our website, processing of personal data could become necessary. If the processing of personal data is necessary and there is no statutory basis for such processing, we generally obtain consent from the data subject.

The processing of personal data, such as the name, address, e-mail address, or telephone number of a data subject shall always be in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and in accordance with the country-specific data protection regulations applicable to us. By means of this data protection declaration, our enterprise would like to inform the general public of the nature, scope, and purpose of the personal data we collect, use and process. Furthermore, data subjects are informed, by means of this data protection declaration, of the rights to which they are entitled.

As the controller, we have implemented numerous technical and organizational measures to ensure the most complete protection of personal data processed through this website. However, Internet-based data transmissions may in principle have security gaps, so absolute protection may not be guaranteed.

2. Collection of general data and information

The website collects a series of general data and information with each call-up of the website by a data subject or an automated system. This general data and information are stored in the log files of the server. The (1) browser types and versions used, (2) the operating system used by the accessing system, (3) the website from which an accessing system accesses our website (so-called referrer), (4) the sub-websites that are accessed via an accessing system on our website can be recorded, (5) the date and time of an access to the website, (6) an Internet protocol address (IP address), (7) the Internet service provider of the accessing system and (8) other similar data and information that serve to avert danger in the event of attacks on our information technology systems.

When using these general data and information, we do not draw any conclusions about the data subject. Rather, this information is needed (1) to deliver the contents of our website correctly, (2) to optimize the contents of our website, (3) to ensure the long-term functionality of our information technology systems and the technology of our website, and (4) to provide law enforcement authorities with the information necessary for prosecution in the event of a cyber-attack.

Legal basis for the processing is Art. 6 (1) s. 1 lit. (f) GDPR. The legitimate interest in the processing of personal data is to technically enable you to access the website, to optimize the representation of the website's contents and for the future improvement/optimization of the website.

3. Hosting

This website is hosted by STRATO AG, Berlin. The hosting services serve to provide infrastructure and platform services, computing capacity, storage space, security services and technical maintenance services, which we use for the purpose of operating this website.

We process inventory data, contact data, content data, usage data, meta data and communication data of visitors of this website on the basis of our legitimate interests in an efficient and secure provision of this website pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR in conjunction with Art. 28 GDPR.

4. Fonts

This website uses self-hosted web fonts. No connection to external font providers (such as Google Fonts) is established. The font files are served directly from our own server.

5. External resources

This website loads the following resources from external servers. When loading these resources, your IP address is transmitted to the respective providers:

The processing is based on Art. 6 (1) s. 1 lit. (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a functional presentation of the website). Please refer to the privacy policies of the respective providers for details on their data processing.

6. Cookies

This website does not use cookies and does not employ any tracking technologies.

To remember your display choices, the website stores a few settings in your browser's local storage (localStorage): the light or dark theme, whether the side menu is open, and whether expert mode is switched on. These settings stay on your device, are not sent to our server and are not used to identify or track you. They are strictly necessary to provide the display you chose (Section 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG; Art. 6 (1) s. 1 lit. (f) GDPR). You can delete them at any time in your browser settings.

7. Contact form

You can contact us, or request access to the platform, through the forms on this website. We process the data you enter: your name, e-mail address, organisation, the role you select (bank, company or other), your optional message, and the part of the website from which you opened the form. The form also contains a hidden field that is used only to detect automated submissions. Visitors do not see it or fill it in.

Purpose and legal basis. We use this data only to answer your enquiry or request and to prepare a possible demo or access. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) s. 1 lit. (b) GDPR where your request aims at entering into a contract or at steps prior to it, and otherwise Art. 6 (1) s. 1 lit. (f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in answering enquiries). Providing the data is voluntary. Without an e-mail address we cannot reply.

How the data is processed. When you submit the form, the data is sent encrypted (HTTPS) to a small program on our own server (hosting described in section 3). The program forwards it as one e-mail to our mailbox. We do not store form data in a database or on the web server. To prevent misuse, your IP address is held briefly in the server's working memory to limit the number of submissions. As with every request, it also appears in the server log files described in section 2.

Recipients. To deliver the e-mail we use the e-mail delivery service Brevo (operated by Sendinblue SAS, France) as our processor under Art. 28 GDPR. Brevo passes the message on to the mailbox of our e-mail provider, which is where we read and answer it. Brevo may use sub-processors. If data is processed outside the EU/EEA, this is based on an adequacy decision of the European Commission or on standard contractual clauses (Art. 44 et seq. GDPR). We do not pass your data on to other third parties.

Storage period. We keep your enquiry in our mailbox for as long as needed to handle it and then delete it, unless statutory retention obligations apply (for example for commercial correspondence under Section 257 HGB and Section 147 AO). In that case we keep it for the legally required period. Brevo keeps technical delivery logs for a limited time under its own retention rules.

8. Contact by e-mail

If you contact us directly by e-mail, we store the personal data you send us in order to process your request and to contact you. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) s. 1 lit. (b) or (f) GDPR, as described in section 7. We pass this data on to third parties only to the extent needed to process your request (for example our e-mail provider).

9. Your rights

The GDPR provides you with the following rights:

Without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedy, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of your habitual residence, place of work or place of the alleged infringement if you consider that the processing of personal data relating to you infringes the GDPR.

You can exercise your rights by sending an email to: mail@germanquantum.com

10. Updates

This Privacy Policy is currently valid as of October 2026. In view of future changes to our website and our services as well as changes of legal or regulatory requirements, it may become necessary to change this information.
